Terms of Use
1. General Information
1.1. The Private Account of AS “West Kredit” (hereinafter – the Lender) is intended for the convenience of every client and has been created to ensure that each new or existing client of the Lender has the opportunity to apply for a loan online, sign the documentation related to receiving the loan, as well as sign the necessary amendments to the agreement. After the agreement is concluded, the Private Account will allow the client to conveniently manage their loan file, providing the ability to submit applications to the Lender, attach documents, monitor payment execution, request amendments to the concluded agreement, and resolve many other matters. The Private Account will also allow clients who have signed an agreement to see the maximum available loan amount they may receive. Therefore, if during the contractual relationship the need arises to receive an additional amount within the framework of the existing loan agreement, the client will be able to easily notify the Lender by completing the required application form online.
1.2. Before starting to use the Private Account, the client must read these Terms and confirm their acceptance. If the client does not agree with the Terms of Use of the Private Account, the client must not use it and should resolve all matters with the Lender at its office.
1.3. By registering, the client confirms that they have read these Terms by marking the box “I agree to the Terms of Use”.
1.4. The use and operation of the Private Account is ensured by AS “West Kredit”, registered in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia under registration number 40003270389 (hereinafter – the Private Account Administrator).
2. Personal Data Processing and Commercial Notifications
2.1. By registering in the Private Account, the client agrees to the Terms of Use and the processing of their personal data. After registration, a Client Profile is automatically created.
2.2. To access and use the Client Profile in the Private Account, the client is identified using secure authentication tools such as Smart‑ID, ID card, e‑signature, or authorization through the AS “Citadele banka” internet bank.
2.3. To register on the portal, the client must enter their personal data. By confirming the Terms of Use of the Private Account, the client confirms that they have read the “Personal Data Processing Notice” and confirms this by marking the box “I have read the personal data processing notice”.
2.4. The client agrees that the Lender may use the address, email address, and/or phone number provided in the Client Profile to send commercial notifications about the Lender’s products, services, or promotional campaigns, only if the client has given separate explicit consent for this during registration.
2.4.1. A commercial notification is any electronic message intended for direct or indirect promotion of services. Information that provides access to general information about the service provider and its activities (domain name or email address) is not considered a commercial notification.
2.4.2. The client has the right to unsubscribe from commercial notifications at any time by sending a message to: info@westkredit.lv
2.5. Client data is deleted upon the client’s request.
3. Client Obligations When Using the Private Account
3.1. When registering in the Private Account, the client provides their personal data.
3.2. The client must use only secure electronic communication and data transmission tools and devices to register and use the Private Account.
3.3. The client is not permitted to provide third parties with access to their authentication tools.
3.4. Before registering in the Private Account, the client must read these Terms of Use and the Personal Data Processing Notice.
4. Client Rights When Using the Private Account
4.1. The client has the right to use the Private Account free of charge and without time restrictions.
4.2. The client has the right to request the deletion of the data they have entered.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1. The client must take all reasonable and necessary measures to keep secure the authentication tools provided to them, as well as all documents, equipment, and/or other tools used to access the Private Account (such as an e‑ID card and its security elements (PIN code), mobile phone, Mobile‑ID or Smart‑ID security elements, etc.), perform transactions, and authenticate themselves, and must prevent third parties from accessing them. The client must use these tools in accordance with their issuance and usage rules. The client must ensure that no unauthorized person knows or has access to these tools. The client must do everything possible to protect these tools, including memorizing security elements, not storing them on data carriers, and keeping them with due care to prevent third‑party access.
5.2. The Lender is not responsible for damage or disruptions in the operation of the Private Account if they are caused by malfunctions or disruptions in the client’s equipment, the use of inappropriate or unlicensed devices or software, interruptions in electricity supply, or communication failures between the client’s equipment and the Private Account.
5.3. If the client suspects that a third party has gained access to any of the authentication tools, documents, equipment, and/or tools mentioned in Section 5.1, the client must immediately inform the Lender by calling 800 00 330 or emailing info@westkredit.lv
5.4. The client is fully responsible for all actions and transactions performed in the Private Account by a third party using the client’s authentication tools, documents, equipment, and/or tools mentioned in Section 5.1. All such actions are considered to have been performed by the client, and the client assumes all resulting obligations and liability unless otherwise provided by applicable laws.
5.5. The Lender has the right to change the Terms of Use of the Private Account at any time at its discretion, as well as the information contained in the Private Account . Any publication or use of materials from the Private Account without prior written permission from the Lender is prohibited. Failure to comply with the Terms constitutes a violation of copyright and may result in liability under the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
5.6. Information in the Private Account may be printed only for personal, non‑commercial purposes.
6. Confidentiality
6.1. All client data entered in the Private Account is transferred for processing only to the Lender. Client data may be transferred to third parties only in cases directly provided for by law and only to the extent specified by law.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1. All economic and moral copyright belongs to AS “West Kredit”, registration number 40003270389.
7.2. The client is prohibited from using the Private Account for purposes other than those intended, including entering unsolicited information into input fields.
8. General Warnings
8.1. Borrow responsibly by evaluating your ability to repay the loan.
8.2. Obtaining another person’s property or rights to such property, or other material benefits, by knowingly entering false data into an automated data processing system to influence its operation (computer fraud), as well as unauthorized modification, damage, destruction, deterioration, or concealment of information in an automated data processing system, or knowingly entering false information, or intentionally interfering with the operation of such a system, is subject to criminal liability under the Criminal Law of the Republic of Latvia.

9. Dispute Resolution
9.1. Disputes arising from the Terms of Use of the Private Account shall be resolved through negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with applicable laws.
9.2. The client (a natural person – consumer) has the right to apply to the Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission at Brīvības iela 55, Riga, LV‑1010. The Commission is an independent collegial decision‑making body that resolves disputes between consumers and sellers or service providers. The Commission’s activities are ensured by the Consumer Rights Protection Centre. Disputes may also be resolved through the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/).
